The Multiple Species Moth agar artificial diet, MSM301 makes 1.2 Liters of diet. Moth host plant material (Oak, Sweet gum, Privet) can be ground in a blender with host plant material (15-30g), with 1 liter of water. To the hot boiling water containing the specific host plant material add the 200g dry mix and stir with a hand mixer. The hot diet is then poured into rearing cups. On cooling the diet forms a solid gel feeding matrix.
