Monarch artificial diet kit includes includes 15 x 1-oz cups of laboratory prepared artificial monarch diet 10-ml/cup, 6 9-oz rearing cups, larvae forceps, and complete instructions. The kit includes enough artificial diet to feed up to 15 larvae and is equivalent to 4 one-gallon milkweed plants. Note: Monarch larvae must be started on the diet (transferred from milkweed) during their 1-2 instar. Larvae that have been started on other artificial diets can be transferred to this diet. The diet contains all nutrients required to support the complete development of the monarch caterpillar into a healthy adult butterfly.
